Longhorns 2022 Orange (14U) defeats AZ Athletics Elite 10-5 to reach sweet 16.

San Diego Longhorns 14U Orange grabbed an early lead on its way to a 10-5 victory over AZ Athletics 14u Elite on Thursday. San Diego Longhorns 14U Orange scored on a groundout by D Cardinal, a single by N Cook, and a groundout by Z Ritter in the first inning.

V Major took the win for San Diego Longhorns 14U Orange. He went four innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out five and walking one. Ritter threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Mike toed the rubber for AZ Athletics 14u Elite. He allowed four hits and six runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Oughton and Farney Sean entered the game as relief, throwing two and a third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
